Nestled quietly away 10 miles off of I-84 in Northeastern CT is the University of Connecticut. It is here that the rock sextet Farewell to Arms calls home. After two independent releases and a self-booked U.S. tour, Farewell to Arms (Storrs, CT) is the epitome of the DIY band. Six friends have come together in attempts to revitalize the music scene and bring something fresh forward. Tired of the generic sounds typically heard within the scene, Farewell to Arms aims to expand musical flexibility through extensive drum and guitar work. The band is a collection of members from past acts that include When Hope Dies (CT), The Speakeasies (CT), and Evertone (MA). They spent this past summer touring the nation in support of their second independent release that was recorded back in January 2005 with John Nacliero and finished in May 2005 with producer Jesse Cannon, who has worked with acts just as Saves the Day, Hot Rod Circuit, and The Cure. The band has seen both coasts and experienced the ups and downs that are associated with life on the road. Check these guys out, say ""Hi"", and be their friends; because theres only one thing they enjoy more than making music, and that's seeing others enjoy it. So... ENJOY!!!
