Formed in 2004, Colours Run have been taking their unique brand of intelligent, melodic rock to venues around the North of England. Their musical influences are wildly varied; Vocalist and songwriter Tim Cameron's greatest loves are Neil Finn and Nick Drake. Bassist Paul Robinson is a graduate from the London Royal Academy; his style equals that of his idol Jaco Pastorius. Trevor Kennedy (drums) is entirely self-taught, developing his unique style from listening to the Motown records beloved by his parents. And Dave Green (lead guitar) is a trained jazz guitarist who is also capable of rocking out hard. But we're united by our love of what makes music special: the emotion. Our songs are at times romantic, at times bitter, but always thoughtful. Hopefully you'll find them as enjoyable to listen to as we do to play.
