New decade, new line-up, new release. Morning Lane have just launched their latest EP, Just So You Know, and they want the world to know about it.

"We are determined to make 2010 a year where we
really get our heads down and crack on," says bass player Ross Butler, adding, “if last year was all about making tough decisions, this year is about putting our money where our mouth is." Those decisions saw the departure
of long time members, guitarist Steve Dourdil and drummer Jean-Marc Valat.

Ross and singer Stephen Aravena quickly set about recruiting two new members. First to take a trip down Morning Lane was guitarist John Wilmshurst, injecting
a new energy and enthusiasm into the band’s sound.

Next, Ross called up his old friend, Tristan Hill to fill the vacant drum stool. "It was something of a baptism of fire,” recalls Tristan, “as three weeks later I was on stage with the band supporting The Automatic!"

Morning Lane were back, stronger and more determined. First stop was the recording studio. "Once you know it's working, you just have to capture that energy on tape," enthuses Stephen. Enlisting the help of legendary Pink Floyd sound engineer, Andy Jackson, the results are a more visceral, muscular sound which reflects the power and intensity of their live shows. “We’re very proud of these songs and these recordings” says John, “and we can’t wait for people to hear what we’ve achieved.”

We just wanted to let you know that while things may seem a bit quiet in the ML camp, we are working away writing some new tunes and getting our EP Just So You Know out to the masses...

For those of you in London, we have been asked to play at 93 Feet East on Tuesday 8 June... This is a charity event in aid of The Outward Bound Trust, so we are more than happy to oblige! Tickets are available here.

Stephen is keeping busy by doing a solo acoustic show THIS SATUDAY 8 MAY at The Regal Room in Hammersmith... He is on stage at 10pm, and the gig is free, so there's no excuse not to see you there...!

Monday 11th December, well after some truly amazing live shows we are now on a roll. We have just finished mastering some new tracks 1 of these WtF which has been put on here - we hope you like it. We also have an updated web site at www.morning-lane.com

We have since played a few amazing gigs at some top venues, written some new songs and generally been enjoying ourselves.

06, 13, 20, 27th JUNE 2006 - AMAZING ADVENTURES OF A NOBODY, SKY TRAVEL @ 19.30 - 20.30 WEEKLY FOR 4 WEEKS. OUR VERY OWN JM AND FABRIZIO PIAZZINI'S PRODUCTION COMPANY "BREAKING SOUNDS" HAVE BEEN COMMISSIONED TO COMPOSE THE THEME TUNE FOR THIS NEW SERIES WHICH FOLLOWS THE TRAVELS OF A MAN AROUND THE UK ON JUST £5 PER DAY. THROUGHOUT ALL THE EPISODES YOU WILL ALSO HEAR VARIOUS MORNING LANE SONGS TOO!!!
THE BAND WERE ALSO LUCKY ENOUGH TO BE ASKED BY BREAKING SOUNDS TO HELP OUT PLAYING SOME OF THE INSTRUMENTS TOO, WELL WE WOULD HAVE HOPED SO!!
ALSO THAT'S OUR VERY OWN ROSS WHO IS DOING THE WHISTLING.



WE ARE PLAYING AT LEONARD'S ON 26th MAY ON NORTHAMPTON ROAD, LONDON EC1 WITH OUR NEW SINGER STEPHEN ARAVENA - PLEASE COME ALONG AND SHARE THIS EXCITING GIG WITH US! WE ARE ON AT 10PM.

We have been looking for a new singer over the last couple of weeks, and we have more or less found our man - WATCH THIS SPACE AND LOOK OUT FOR US GIGGING AGAIN SOON.

We are also getting a lot of Worldwide, National, Local and Internet Radio play along with some great press reviews, and we have a few live sessions and interviews coming up next month with the BBC.
