The Sym-plifi Project is the work of composer Dan DeChellis. It combines his love of improvisation with electronic/ambient textural music. Dan has been an active member of the Improvised music community in New York and Boston for the last 8 years, not only as a performer but as an organizer, promoter and record label owner. He has released a series of critically acclaimed CD's on his own label, Sachimay Records and his music has been heard around the world.
The music of the Sym-plifi Project combines original samples and loops textured with composed and improvised keyboard parts. The obvious influences are apparent, Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Bjork as well as a strong understaing of pop, jazz and classical music.
