Demon Bros is:
Derek Ian - vocals, synth guitar
Mike Kuz - electric & acoustic guitars
Sabra Saber - bass, programmer
Demon Bros. music is characterized by a dark retro-rock sound woven
with sultry vocals, haunting guitar melodies, and entrancing beats. The
band is reminiscent of The Cult, The Cure, and David Bowie with a
heavier, modern sound, all their own.
Their debut EP ""Far From The Cold"" was produced by Matt Thorne
(Dust Brothers, Trapt, Eels) and released by the Demon Bros. on SIK
Records in 2004. The band's first single ""Flower For You"" is currently
in rotation by local and college radio stations throughout the United
States and Canada.
The band is currently working on their full length record with producer
Bryan Carlstrom (Alice in Chains, Rob Zombie, Offspring). Early
sessions have spawned a remake of ""Black Tears,"" which they plan to
release as their new single.
Demon Bros. was formed in Los Angeles circa 2002 by Derek Ian
(vocals) and Mike Kuz (guitars) with the vision of meshing 80's
influenced electronic-rock with layered modern samples and dark
imagery. Inspired collaborations with Sabra Saber (programming)
broadened their unique sound as he infused electronic samples into
the music.
To complement ""Far From The Cold"" the band has shot videos for the
songs ""Flower For You"" and ""By My Side,"" directed by Karla Eduvia and
J.M. Logan respectively.
With many new songs written, Demon Bros. tentatively await to
release their first full-length album in 2006.
