Singer/Songwriter Robert Schilling began his music career in Soth Brunswick, NJ as a keyboardist for Colors Of A New Flag (1986-1988) while still in high school.
He later switched over to bass guitar, as the band became Four Calling Birds (1989), and lastly, Infinite Touch (1990-1998). His years with Infinite Touch produced several memorable moments including performances at The Stone Pony (Asbury Park, NJ), Club Bene (South Amboy, NJ), The Bitter End and Catch A Rising Star (New York City). The band also recorded four independently released CDs and produced a music video. In 1996, Infinite Touch won the Gold Summit Creative Award for their multimedia CD “The Other Side Of The Window” (1995).
In August 2000, Robert released his first solo, self-titled CD. Produced by Jon rr Custom Music, this project featured some of Pittsburgh’s finest musicians. In July 2001, however, Robert signed a long-term music publishing deal with ATTACKIN' TUNES, a partner of Cherry Lane Music Publishing, Inc.
Robert Schilling is a full voting member of The Recording Academy (GRAMMYs) and the Songwriter's Guild of America (SGA). He is a graduate of both the Univ. of Pittsburgh and
the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.
Robert is currently putting the finishing touches on his first new song since 2000 called "Bachelor Blues". It is scheduled to be released in early spring 2006. |
