Formed in the spring of 2005, this five piece band has found each other, and the sound they have been looking for. With influences from bands such as Breaking Benjamin, Tool, and Chevelle, Downshift's radio-friendly rock sound is gaining considerable attention. The success to Downshift has been their loyal fan base, die hard work ethics, professional management, strong marketing/promoting and a passion to make melodic, intense, hooky music.

Winning ""battle of the bands"" which awarded them to open the Taste of Chaos tour at Arco Arena in Sacramento
