Many artists choose to go with industry trends and often relegate themselves to hip hop clichés. Big Hank, on the other hand, chooses to go against the grain. Traveling to several states and countries as a military brat and later as a soldier himself during the Persian Gulf era, Hank had the opportunity to experience several styles of hip hop. The Tulsa native took many years soaking in influences from East, West and Midwest artists, as well as Afro-Cuban rhythms to develope a style that would be at home in any hood.
Hanks introduction into the entertainment industry came, surprisingly, through film. A natural storyteller, Hank has written two feature-length film which have unfortunately, gone unproduced. Hank put his dreams of becoming a Hollywood screenwriter on hold to pursue his education, studying Radio/TV production and Political Science at Kansas State University.
Hanks unique style is a blend of his many influences: Southern drawl, Midwest swagger and East Coast lyricism. Currently, Hank is hard at work on his debut album: Revolution's a Love Song, a deeply personal album about life, love, poverty, redemption and the quest to be a better person. The first single ""So Confused"" is already generating a huge buzz across the nation. Not many have heard about this MC and his music, but that's all about to change.
