The Blueprints are a blues band with an electric edge based out of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada.
The band started in 1998 and have been performing ever since. They have graced the stages of many island venues. They have also been nominated for PEI Music Awards in 2002, 2003 & 2004. They have performed at the 2003 PEI Music Awards Association Gala Awards Evening at the Jubilee Theatre in Summerside and at the Millennium Celebration at the Confederation Center for the Arts.
They have shared the stage with many great blues acts including: The Rattlesnakin' Daddies, Theresa Mallefant ,Charlie A'Court, Matt Anderson, JP LaBlanc, Ross Neilson. and Scott Parsons.
They had the great pleasure of performing at the 1st annual Tim Horton's PEI Jazz and Blues festival in 2005 and at the East Coast Music Awards 72 hour jam during the ""Breakfast with the Blues"" portion of the show in 2006.
They also play every Sunday night throughout the summer at Fishbone's Bar & Grill on Richmond Street in Charlottetown. In the blues tradition, if there are players in the audience they invite them up and never know what may happen. There have been some magical moments.
Blues with an electric edge
The Blueprints are a 3 piece group with guitar, bass and vocals playing electric, rockin blues. Our current members are Mike Robicheau on guitar and vocals (he gets a BIG sound out of his souped up ""evil twin"" with many pedals and his late 70's Ibanez strat and 59er), Roger (Rog Mahal) Greaves on drums and vocals, and Chris Roumbanis on bass and vocals (with an old AMP amplifier and a Fender Zone Bass through a Harke Cabinet with celestian loaded and sometimes an octaver).
The band is into electric blues. They play their versions of many artists old and new including: Otis Rush, Eric Clapton, BB King, Leiber and Stroller, Buddy Guy, T Birds, Howling Wolf, SRV, Robben Ford, etc.... and a few of their own tunes.
Currently in the middle of their first recording project...
