Hi I live in Co Wicklow Ireland. I've been playing and composing on the classical guitar for over 35 years and I wrote my first piece of music at about the age of 15. since then Ive been hooked on composition. In 1974 I started playing irish music on the tin whistle progressing to the uileann pipes for 4 years or so and then wrote lots of irish flavoured music for the Guitar (see band website) as well as other latin type music. When I was in my 20tys I did a lot of music work for the Irish Theatre Company playing music for Shakespeare plays as well as some Irish works and I had a great time touring Ireland with them. also around that time I was involved with Traditional Irish music and played in several different name bands with mostly the same people in them such as Goatsmilk, Sons of Erin, The Ard Ris, Poky Fullumh, Shannakey and then finally Broken Secret. In that time we recorded 2 LPs titled Pochai Fullamh (empty pockets) and In the Shadow of Sliabh Cualann, after that I went back as a soloist and guitar teacher and then went to work as a folklore collector for 2 years then as a Hospital entertainer and then resident musician for a youth Theatre where I co wrote music for plays and also played music for fundrasing events in aid of the youth Theatre. These days I prefer to record only and produce books of my music which are as yet unpublished but stored in certain archive institutions.
