Medic is located in an ice cream factory turned artist's workspace warehouse in the middle of the ghetto in Cincinnati, right at the bottom of Ohio. Medic started with a friend telling a friend that they should get together and make music. Everything fell into place in October, 2003. Before they met each other they had recorded tracks at separate times for one of the songs on the 2004 debut release, and after meeting and playing together the obvious thing to do was form Medic and start recording and playing immediately.
Medic is dedicated to creating songs and sounds that try everything, think hard, and inspire health and well-being in those that listen.
Medic is:
John Giua - vocals, guitar.
Previously John was singer, guitarist and songwriter for the Cincinnati band ""Mike"", and has been listening to his family make great music and learning from them since shortly after he was born.
Matt Parmenter - bass, keyboards, backing vocals.
Prior to Medic, Matt was the bassist for Semi-Automatic. Prior to that he played with a few industrial bands and a couple of rockabilly bands in Chicago as a bassist, pianist or guitarist. Before that he fiddled with sound gear and strange noises way up north.
Dave Becknell - drums, percussion, backing vocals.
Before joining Medic in early '06, Dave was the main monster behind The Screaming Kings and Semi-Automatic, where he and Matt held down the rhythm section for that three guitar juggernaut. Dave is very excited to grow, change and most importantly, rock with Medic.
Former member Brian Kelley - drums, percussion, backing vocals.
Brian is currently on tour with Oval Opus and occasionaly plays with Kentucky Struts in support of their recent release. We thank him for his time with Medic, and wish him the best of luck in all his future efforts!
