Chewed up, spat on, kicked in the nuts, Hunting Bigfoot kicks back...
Genre: Alternative Rock (Melodic Rock/Pop)
Hometown: New York
Hunting Bigfoot is the brain-child of two high school buds - Paul Rowan and Christopher Walsh. Although the two have been playing music independently for years, they'd never played together until now. Walsh was in a string of NYC bands and Rowan was to used to banging it out on a borrowed acoustic when he got drunk at parties. Rowan wasn't the kind of guy to do group sing-alongs or Eagles covers. He played loud, in-your-face originals that dared his audience to make him stop. ""I was never trying to entertain. My attitude was ""you think you're going to sit on the sofa and have a quiet discussion about Sense and Sensibility? F**k that, you're going to listen to this!"" Rowan finally decided that his impromptu performances weren't getting his point across to a wide enough audience, so he enlisted Walsh to help make it happen - and Johnny Rolfe soon thereafter. By Winter 2005, the band had road-tested their material in countless dives and local clubs, relying on old friends and band-mates to fill in on bass and drums when needed. They even played a few acoustic shows with Rowan and Walsh on guitars, and Johnny Rolfe in the front row yelling, “Fu**ing pussies!” The band went into the studio in summer 2005 and began recording “So Much For Last Year.”
