DIATOM (formerly KISMET 13)is a one man experiment. This music is pure brutal aggression with a message. My name is Nick and I wrote, sang and played all the instruments on these tunes. Lonely Son was written specifically about shootings like Columbine and Virginia Tech, where priviledged kids or social pariahs feel it is necessary to play first person shooter in real life and kill innocent people. Problem Within is about seeing a friend transformed through meth addiction and refusing to let them slip away completely. When I wrote and recorded these songs I was in a dark and scary place. Not really. I just had a shitty job that made my life a living hell and I was kinda fed up with some of the things I observed going on in the world. For example....school shootings, wasted lives through drug addiction (my life stands as a fine example of what NOT to do), dogs and cats sleeping together, etc., etc., blah, blah. Anyway, these are some seriously hard rocking songs that deserved to see the light of day. Hopefully they will find a twisted, semi-narcissistic, self-mutilating, self-bludgeoning, hate your parents kind of audience, before you kill again! I love what you stand for!
