Howard Emerson was born in Boston, MA in June of 1951. He started playing guitar at the age of 12. His constant fascination with drumming and bass were to have a profound effect on him. His schoolteachers were constantly telling him, ""Sit on your hands, Howard! You're driving me crazy!"" He blew out the woofers in his dad's old Scott Stereo more than once while fixating on the bass track of several favorite records.
