Born in Wichita Falls, Texas and moved to the UK when I was 4.
Dropped from the church choir at 12, dropped out of music lessons at 15, I grew up wanting to perform but being too unmotivated to do anything about it. Then in May 1993, I witnessed Sonia Evans' attempt at Eurovision fame and decided that if she could do it, so could I! From there I initiated an offensive against the odds to be the best performer I could. The casualties of war were, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Billy Joel, Nik Kershaw, even Jason Donavon wasn't safe until this mission was complete. Day after day, night after night, striving to teach myself to sing and teach myself I did.
The next 3 years were spent practicing and learning the guitar.
In 1996 I was ready to take to the stage.
Myfirst gig was whilst working as a bingo caller and I was asked to entertain the customers on D-Day, singing wartime and knees-up songs. I, along with fellow caller Sean Coles, had two weeks to write, rehearse and perform in a hall that held up to 450 people.
38 turned up! Nonetheless, we put on a spectacular show and wowed the crowd and even had our first taste of celebrity by appearing the local Bucks Herald.
From there I performed in various bands as well as solo ventures and then in November 1999, entered in the local 'Stars in the Square' talent competition. There I met 2 other entrants, Simon Morgan and Liam King. We, together with Simon's friend Iain Stacey formed !nDefinately.
Over the next 4 years, and one hell of a rollercoaster ride, I feel I mastered my trade, performing on local and national radio/ tv, in front of audiences of up to 25,000 and even working on televison's most expensive tv show, Band of Brothers (if you squint, you may just see me:)
I left !D in Jan 2004 and took a break from the music business to concentrate on my family life and in August 2004, my daughter was born.
Now back, I am currently writing new material, in the early stages of 2 new band projects and all the while holding down a full time job with a local ISP.
Come and see me at Carlos's Restaurant every month.
Let me know which track is your favourite. All written by me and performed by !nDefinately. I will alter them once I have recorded more.
Drop in and leave me a comment, it's getting lonely in here :0)
