Born in Oakland, CA. and residing in the East Bay...Lunacie A.K.A. Young Lune, shows his skills through original arrangements reflecting musical influences, from Stevie Wonder to C-Bo to Vince Guaraldi. Growing up, Lunacie learned to play a number of instruments including, piano, drums, saxophone, kalimba, organ, & congas while also listening to everything from Hip-Hop to Rock, Blues to Pop, genre to genre. Church and gospel music played a huge role in Lune's upbringing and music as the soulful sound is evident through some of his work. The talented producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and rapper, displayed his impressive work on "Underground Disciples, Vol. 1" compilation, which featured the young musician racking up achieved notable tracks. His debut album "NEED NO APPROVAL" released in April 2007, showcase Lune's soulful method to hip-hop using live instrumentation, instead of sample based tracks, to create a record that integrates Hip-Hop, R&B, & Soul accompanied by smooth, truthful, sometimes rough, rhymes. His album earned him a spot on ClearChannel's Discover New! artist pool, which highlights and features up & coming talent from around the country on many of ClearChannel's affiliates (KMEL 106.1 & WILD 94.9).
