About The Name
Rich Hannon has enjoyed quite a bit of success with the name “Rich Hannon Band” in the previous two years. But, he was always a bit uncomfortable with the name, and the association that this was a solo act. Although he writes the majority of the music, he has always maintained that the songs would never have come to fruition, had it not been for his bandmates: Lenny Everett (bass) and Sean Boyer (drums)
With that in mind, Rich wanted a band name that wasn't stereotype. For years, he used the name “Last of Three” as part of his internet correspondences.
The name originally derived from the fact that Rich is the third, and last to carry on his family name. Extending that idea to this trio, seemed to be the perfect name for the next phase of this band.
About The Band
Rich, Lenny, and Sean, have been playing, gigging, and recording together (in one form or another) for over a decade. "We've played countless shows through the years" says Rich, "These days, we focus more on songcraft, than a full date book." With that being said, under the moniker "Rich Hannon Band," this trio has garnered unprecedented success for only playing a handful of live shows. They’ve racked up a number one song on the popular website “KIAC.com,” (an indie music site that is watched carefully by the major labels, and reports to one of the oldest and most respected chart magazines, “Cashbox”) and a recent Top 10 spot on another heavy hitting industry website, “Ourstage.com” (sponsored by AOL). The various achievements and accolades are too numerous to mention in this bio, but a quick Google search will lead you to many of the accomplishments in the relatively short existence of this band.
About The Future
The band have recently finished recording new material with acclaimed producer, Brett Hestla (Dark New Day, Virgos Merlot, Creed) in his private studio in Orlando, FL. The release of this material marks a new beginning for “Last of Three.” Even though they will still rely on their back catalog of songs in the future, the band feels that the new material, coupled with Brett's five star production, has yielded a modern twist to the alternative roots-rock sound that they are synonymous with. So this will be the first that you hear of the “Last of Three.”

The Press
“Memorable, soulful rock…guitar tone for days…songs you’ll want to listen to more than once. This one stays on my iPod!”
- Joel Selvin, San Francisco Chronicle
"Last of Three is an infection you won't want to get rid of. They make music that comes from an honest and simple place...the callous handed, blue collar back yard of rock & roll. Listen and enjoy an earfull of audio reality"
- Brett Hestla, Producer
“The sampler I received contained 3 ear-opening songs. Standout vocals and fleshy riffs permeate…the more I hear, the more I like!”
- Hedy Henderson, Editor, Genxeffect.com
