THE IDEA is the musical project of ,one Mitch Salisbury. Born in a barn back in 2006, ALTER EGO REHABILITATION CENTRE is the first L.P, recorded entirely on 8 & 12 track with the guidance of "less is more" guru, producer FRAN ASHCROFT.

From the Buzzcockian "Sentimental" to the pastoral psychedelia of "Away Day" and Barrett-esque, Brit Pop, blur of "Peter The Frog", the songs stick to you teeth like Blackpool rock.In a nice way, of course.

Single "Suck" was released in the fall of 2007 and orbited the outer reaches of the download chart along with Mitch's solo single-"Blue".

Now relocated to Hollywood, California THE IDEA are working on the new album in early 2008 and concentrating on dates in Southern California before heading out on the road.
