Based in Los Angeles, Yardley was founded by Lee Beth Kilgore to explore a different approach to music from a female songwriter. Influenced by the current wave of British melancholic rock/pop, Yardley is currently an evolving group of musicians with Kilgore as the constant.

LB was born to a musical family in Montgomery, Alabama. Growing up in Birmingham, Alabama, her father, a baptist Minister of Music, guided her passion for music at a young age passing along his love and knowledge of music. LB began studying piano at the age of 3, but began playing guitar her last year of high school. LB founded Yardley in Los Angeles after years touring the local music scene in the Southeast. She wanted a different sound and style than what she heard from other female artists... Influenced by the current wave of British melancholic rock/pop, Yardley began as an evolving group of musicians with Kilgore as the constant. More recently, Yardley consists of a core group of musicians/friends that love music and understand the rigor of the music industry.
Yardley credits as major influences, bands like Travis, Coldplay, and Wilco and singer/songwriters like Jonatha Brooke, Patty Griffin, and Elliott Smith.
