my advice to you
Have faith and confidence. Believe in yourself.
On March 11' 1977, Kevin Taylor was born in the South Bronx in New York. Born of Jamaican parents and raised in a Jamaican household much of the culture, vibes, and music was introduced to me. I took my first piano lesson while living temporarily in New Orleans, Louisiana at two years of age.
I am the second child of my parents who immigrated to the United States in the seventies. I was born in the South Bronx like I said before, but I was raised in Queens New York. I grew up with kids from all races and religions. After being introduced to the piano, I began playing the Xylophone and the Clarinet in Elementary school, however by Junior High school, the band was not cool enough for me so I dropped out.
It was not for many years (until I was 26) that I began to pursue music again. This time I was convinced that I would be serious about the music and that I would not be distracted. After briefly dropping out of high school, I returned to school with a hunger for education in 1994. I graduated in 1995 from John Bowne High School, and I started Laguardia Community College in 1996.

Hardships in life led me away from school after returning from Vassar College as a Exploring Transfer Student 1997. I was homeless and jobless when I arrived in Atlantic City New Jersey via train from Philadelphia. I lived by the beach and worked in the Casino's, until I returned home in 2001. When the Twin Towers fell, I got laid off, and I realized I had to go back to school. I transfered to Fredonia State College in 2004, but stayed only a year due to extreme and disgusting racism in that University. Althought I wen through hell in terms of racism at that school, I learned to improvisate on piano (I taught myself). 2/3/04 I improv-ed my first song. Soon after I began to record.

Presently I am home in Queens working and going to Community college again. I graduate in March of 2007. Finally. I recorded this album a little at a time throughout 2006. There are more songs of course, but these are the best. I hope you enjoy. PEACE!!!

I finally graduated Community College in 2007, and have started going to Queens College studying mathematics and Computer science. One may ask why not study music? Well its a long story, and my present major suits me well. I am still working on music at the same time. My second album was difficult to create. To me it seemes to be great at times and not so great at times based on my mood. I wonder if its like that for other people. It was not until, I realizd that the music was pretty hot that I decided to go ahead with the album. I was at one point however going to scrap the entire project. People ask me why I'm doing this. Well because I love music first of all. Second of a ll I enjoy so few of the music that is coming out these days. I make these songs ,and I listen to them so that at least I have something to listen too. I hope that other people can enjoy it to. I'm working on doing some performances, but there just not enough time in the day for all the endeavours that I would like to complete. Until the day comes that I start to perform, enjoy these records because there just isn't anything else out there like it.

Once again, I hope you enjoy. PEACE!!!
