Children's Masterpiece Theatre is a Chicago band fronted by prolific curmudgeon Timothy O'Connell. The band has written, recorded, and self-released their own albums since 2001, but only recently released their Eponymous '07 last September. It is available for free download from their website or last.fm.

O'Connell began writing the self-titled album while finishing his master's degree in religion and medieval literature at Yale Divinity School, and the rest of the album was written by the band during '06 while forging their live show in the hateful and disinterested glare of the Chicago music scene.

CMT's song "Lorelei" was featured on Q101.1, Chicago's preeminent alternative station, during Fook's "Alternate Universe" drive-time program in 2006. His on-air comments were the following: "I'm actually shocked I haven't heard of them before, because they're really good...I think they're fantastic."

	The Big Send Off One of the most straight-forward songs on the album, it's an anthemic rocker with a vocabulary that would force the Decembrists' Colin Meloy to reach for the Oxford English Dictionary. The song has been described, accurately or no, as "like early Nirvana but with synth." The artist has designated this song as non-chartable.		Cyberpunk
