Big Red And The Soul Benders are the recipients of the 2005 Arkansas Blues and Heritage Award given to the best new blues band at the Arkansas Blues and Heritage Festival (formerly the King Biscuit Blues Fest), they are now memebrs of the Arkansas Arts On Tour.
Big Red & The Soul Benders were chosen to be in the The Women In Blues Fest 2006 and were invited back for 2007.
They have participated in the IBC 2007 and have been chosen to represent the Sonny Boy Blues society in 2008's IBC. They have appeared on the main stage at the Arkansas Blues and Heritage Fest Oct. 2007.
