Verity Keen Update
I saw my name on another Pipline thread recently. I didn't really understand what it was about but I noticed that Father Time suggested that I might be very busy. Oh no, just the opposite, I'm not busy at all. I am limited in the technology dept. I used to have the full 'music making' gear... now I'm limited to a cheap headset. I used to write a song a day but now all I can do is dig up old recordings and try to improve them.... which usually means cutting them right back to the first, simple mixes.
I have spent time on a Jamming website for 2 years where I wrote lyrics and performed on instrumental mixes.... but even that became samey, boring and repetitive after a while.
Although I am much older than mainstream artists, I don't look or feel my age. I have to sing in lower keys that's all. Eventually I concluded that I couldn't keep writing original songs and performing while reviewers kept suggesting that I was a "BOT" However I still write lyrics, poems and stories.
It seems to me that most of the indies here (and elsewhere) come from a past generation when songs meant more in our lives. The IMP regulars have more miles on the clock generally and as a community this makes for a very understanding, empathetic group to be part of.

Verity let me express the selfish guy's vantage point. It frustrates me deeply to hear you don't have access to your keyboard and recorder. Because I love your songs and consider you possibly the best indie songwriter ever. You must just not want to scratch that itch because I am certain it would not be that difficult for you to get set back up, if you wanted to, anyway.

PM.. I'm embarrassed to say that I have many, many accounts here, I used to enjoy making new artists for different styles of music. I remember years ago (when there was a charge) we were only allowed 1 artist and 1 Station, I think there should be a limit for free input again actually.
FT.. I have used every possible 'auto setting' backing on my keyboard many times so songs would sound too familiar now. I don't have any speakers... I buy stuff but never manage to make them work so I've given up. But my back catalogue is so vast I still enjoy listening to myself and thinking "Damn Girl, you were good" hahahaha!

Hi Verity!! Yes, you are very prolific in your song crafting abilities and more creative then anyone I know, the only other artist that I know of who can churn out and produce an excellent well crafted number of songs is Father Time, he has a massive catalog!
Perhaps you will bring your creative genius and gifts back to IMPNATION again as well as your thoughtful reviews as a station manager.

HI Verity! Don't feel embarrassed about the multiple accounts. I have accounts for all my old bands. They are basically static; just the old demos. And I have an account for my current band with my old bro Russ, Contemplating Waves. And of course, my main page. And a few others, lol. Happy to see you here!

Meristolis - formerly Holworks - I must be missing out. I have one account although I did change the name from Holworks to Meristolis when I came back. I left soon after our discussions. Presently, I am finishing up album 12 since June 2025.
I'll go through it all again once I have my vocals the way I like. Here's to that. I miss singing but not lousy recordings. If my song cannot go on the radio today, I will not post it.
