A crazy plan
|
I may do some marathon song fests to raise money to live. Sing for 24 hours, or something crazy. Music is all I know. It's all I do. I may try it. Maybe even this weekend. It's Labor Day weekend. Just like Jerry Lewis. A Larree Hollywood telethon. I really need a lot of help right now. Miracles do happen. Sing for a few hours at a time; take a few short breaks. Maybe even sleep for a few hours if I get too tired. Drop my Venmo and Cash App. Set up a GoFundMe. Whatever it takes. Help save Larree's pad.

Ok, I figured it out, I was doing it backwards but it went through this time.
Ever do the street busking thing? In NYC they make a ton playing for the subway crowds..
And I've know a few panhandlers in my time, some of them do very well. Especially if you have a dog with you.. Donations will supposedly triple.

I used to busk all the time. Hollywood, Westwood, Venice Beach, etc. I loved doing that back in the 1970s and 80s. TBH, I don't know if I have the energy for that these days, especially right now. And yes, dogs definitely got people to give more.

You know I always love scheming about underhanded ways of making money but I never carry through with them.., prolly why I'm still poor..
But one that does have some potential would be to create your own religion in a sort, like "The Official Catholic Church" to site an example.
It would be a place where people can be assured that their money is going where it is supposed too.., not to buy massive houses for priests and hot looking nuns to live in, but instead be put to good actual use..
Somebody should do it.

I decided that PayPal is better than Buy Me a Coffee. BMaC takes way too long. No complaints, really. But I am glad I have all the options available. PayPal, Buy Me a Coffee, Venmo, and CASH APP.

Check this.. This guy claimed this dog was given to him as a child and later he married and then his wife left him. He was so depressed that he was going to end his life but his dog saved him from doing that.
Then fast forward, the dog is now 19 and dying and because the dog saved his life it was now up to him to return the favor to save his dogs life in return.
Only problem was he needed donations to help prolong his poor doggy's life for curing whatever illness the poor pup had.. (He carried on with this sob story for at least a year or more and netted about 300g.)
The poor dog needed to be put down and he probably picked it up at some kennel to use as a prop, but he sure did put on some good theater and had some very professional images of him swimming with the poor pup.
So if it worked once..., hmnn.

I don't have it in me to con people like that. I have to keep it real. But I do appreciate your help and the options. Maybe I can put my cat to work. But only in a legit way. Asking for help to save my cat's home is an honest request. If I could get a million people to each buy one mp3 for my cat...

Is that really a con? Just panhandling taken to another level, no one got hurt and this guy walked off with a boatload of money manipulating emotions, I wish I had thought of it.
The best one I ever saw was a mother who claimed her daughter had a genetic predisposition for some horrible illnesses that may manifest later in her life and went on to list all of them including the costs of medical care, rehabilitation, yada, yada and sure enough, over 4 million was donated for the future health costs of the daughter who was then in perfect health and most likely still is today..
Now that was a true work of art...

I actually did try to start a fundraiser for this poor guy once on GoFundMe I believe and they wouldn't run it for some odd reason..
But I still think this is an important cause that many must deal with in real life.. Someone should try to help those afflicted with the same condition, it would only be the right thing to do..
