Artist Loretta Murphy is a singer/songwriter, author, and actress whose song lyrics often spring from her strories, poems and other ramblings.
Her Irish and coal region roots have long inspired her storytelling. Murphy's Irish ancestors, The Carrolls, are known for their poetic abilities and her Staunton side, for it's music.
As THE TROUBLES, Murphy and guitarist/songwriter Paul Noon (aka King of the Strings, aka Bozo), perform originals along with traditional Irish, folk, coal region, bluegrass, blues, and vintage rock. The duo is based in the hard coal regions of Pennsylvania, where Irish ancestry is deep and it's cultural influence strong.
