Established Solo Artist (acoustic rock/country rock)
Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist for ""Axis Unknown"" (melodic rock)
Jingle Producer & Voice-over/Character Voice Talent of GDA Media Group
Artist Profile:
When it comes to defining Dan Acosta, there's never any BS, and there's never any shirking of duties. Example? The night after his wedding, Dan played a solo acoustic gig for his hometown crowd, delaying his honeymoon to Maui for a day. And when he returned, he embarked on a national charity tour, leaving his home and new wife for six weeks to help riase monies & donations for numerous charities across the United States, most notably the ""Rock 4 Xmas"" Foundation, and the Nassau/Suffolk Coalition for the Homeless in his home state of New York. Ultimately it lead to his divorce, but it is precisely this sort of fierce, unbending dedication, devotion and spirit which has made Dan Acosta such an inspirational focal point through the years for all of his fans, friends, & fellow musicians alike.
Singing since the age of six, Dan has developed a vocal style in vein of Jon Bon Jovi, Aron Lewis (Staind), and Zakk Wylde - with strong dynamics and clarity. He has also been playing guitar for many years and is self taught. His main influences are Bon Jovi, Zakk Wylde, Metallica, Black Sabbath/Ozzy, Staind, and Knickleback . He has also been writing his own music for years. He has plenty of songs completed and copyrighted, and there are always new ones in the works.
As an artist, Dan tries to keep his music pure and simple, while tugging on the human heart to make it unforgettable to its listeners. He writes from his own life experiences, and tries to relate to his listeners through each song - sharing his true feelings and perspectives with everyone. He has dedicated his life to sharing his music, and helping all of those he can with his talents. He has definitely put in his time when it comes to his music.
Dan has a 5 song acoustic EP (A Day In The Life Of A Superhero..."" - 2003 ), a 6 song demo with Axis Unknown (2007), and he's currently recording material with former Axis Unknown drummer Mike Sepe. Dan also started recording with his 12 year old nephew Mike Sanchez (drummer) on a country/rock crossover album, as well as a rock demo titled ""Family Business"".
Dan Acosta is also the voice talent & jingle writer/producer for GDA Media Group (multi-media marketing service).

Dan has learned from the best what it takes to be a performer in this business.
As one can see, Dan Acosta has held his own ground among the greats of Rock 'n Roll. Even if he never gets a record contract, he’s already lived out a huge part of his dream, and will always continue to do so as long as he can. Financially, the business has been a struggle for him, even the downfall of his marriage. He has made many unthinkable sacrifices, but his hopes are still alive. Dan is dedicated, hard working, and driven to be the best he can. Every performance has been another step closer to reaching his professional goals, as a musician, and another platform for him to gain, what most feel is, well deserved recognition. Dan doesn’t try to come off as cocky or arrogant; he’s still paying his dues in this business. He just feels that it will only be a matter of time before the brass ring will be within his reach. When that day comes, Dan Acosta will shine out among the stars…

Hey Dan, Welcome to IAC. Cool tunes you have here. I added Midnight Star to my Acoustic Meltdown station. Looks like you have played with a lot of great acts over the years. As an artist myself I really enjoy the atmosphere here at IAC. I encourage you to check out the great music all over the site. If you get a chance, stop by my page and have a listen. I have mostly acoustic, stripped down stuff. All the best to you, -JP Sharpe
