Growing up in Harlem was the perfect place for an aspiring rapper like Tha Misses to develop her skillz. With so many hip hop fans and venues, she began performing at 13 in school talent shows, neighborhood parties, and anywhere she could find an open mic.
In her late teens, Tha Misses became inspired by Tupac strong vocabulary and rappin’ skillz, and as she developed her own style, that inspiration played an important roll. As a result, she has seen her fan base continually grow while performing in New York Clubs, such as Remote Lounge, Demerara, Pyramid, Club Cheetah, Sob’s, Downtime, Soul Café, Don Hill, Parks and parts of the South East. Along the way she has recorded over an album of tracks, special guessed on, and recorded tracks for other artists CDs and mixtapes, but now feels it’s her time to shine.
