"Rhymes For A Reason," is the first single from NATE MEZMER’s new album by the same name and features emcee Zumbi (aka Zion) of the highly acclaimed indie hip-hop stalwart “Zion-I.”

Produced by Nathan “ETHX” Montiel, "Rhymes For A Reason" is a searing rendition of lyrical truths in an Orwellian world and a personal pledge to rise above the status quo.

The forthcoming album, slated to drop in October 2008, is Mezmer's second LP, following his 2005 debut album entitled "Kill The Precedent." It also features guest appearances by Boots Riley of world renown Oakland based political hip-hop band, “The Coup,” as well as singer Myron Glasper of Blackalicious fame.
