TRACY JANE COMER is a native of North Carolina now based in Madison, Wisconsin. A singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and captivating performer, Tracy's contemporary acoustic music is influenced by a diverse and varied musical background that includes everything from classical to folk to rock/pop and many things in between, including a touch of jazz/blues. She has earned repeated nominations by the Madison Area Music Awards for both BEST ACOUSTIC ALBUM and for BEST ACOUSTIC ARTIST. Tracy has spent most of her life in musical pursuits, including study at undergraduate and graduate levels as well as years of private study in piano, cello, guitar, voice, and fiddle. She has been compared to greats such as Joni Mitchell, Patty Larkin, Emily Saliers, Judy Collins, Patty Griffin, Rickie Lee Jones, and Shawn Colvin.
A three-time honoree by the Song of the Year International Songwriting Competition, she has been a repeated guest on local radio and television and has performed serveral full-length TV concerts. She has opened shows for notables such as Willy Porter, Peter Mulvey, LJ Booth, and the Wailin' Jennys. Her music is now being heard on radio (FM, AM, Internet, Satellite) on four continents.
