Every so often the world is blessed with a breath of fresh air and new energy that overwhelms us immediately upon exposure. That new form of energy and talent has arrived once more, and it hails from the multi-talented Soul Singer/Songwriter, Kamal. It should be no surprise that the musical interpretation of his thoughts far exceed his existence on this earth. Especially when you consider that he was born and raised in the same state that serves as the birth home to Soul legends Otis Redding, Little Richard, Ray Charles, Gladys Knight & James Brown to name a few. The Macon, GA native has been gracing the stages of night clubs, auditoriums and coliseums all around the southeastern region of the US for over 10 years. Born Kamal Howard in Macon, GA; he has been on a personal mission to spread his music to the masses with the release of his self-produced debut album, which will be released soon. Although most people assume that he is an NBA small forward when they see his athletic 6'7" frame, he makes it perfectly clear that music is his first love and main focus. Most describe his voice to Maxwell, and his writing style to a young Marvin Gaye. Kamal has made his point to carve out his own style and sound of music. He has had the opportunity to open up for a variety of well-known performers such as Howard Hewitt, The Whispers and comedian Steve Brown. The world should get used to seeing and hearing a lot more from Renaissance Soul Man Kamal for many years to come.
