After years of late night recording my songs, I have finally slipped into a comfort zone with my songs. I grew up on classic rock and my songwriting influences were the likes of Neil Young, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Willie Nelson etc... All very crafty composers. I started leaning towards the more organic southern folk rock like John Hiatt, Tragically Hip, Jayhawks some years back. It sems more natural to me. I still like my loud amps but more enjoy a bluesy gritty ballad these days.
I've been playing and writing music for over 30 years now and will never stop, I can't go more than a couple hours without my guitar. I don't write a song just to write a song, the way it comes out of my head is the way it's done no matter the style. I have songs in just about every genre form punk to country but I now play what I feel more than anything, and that's my sound, and I may have a little Stones, Neil, Hendrix, Fogerty, Levon Helm, .. because that's what I live for. Thanks for listening, and never stop doing what you love.
