Passion and drive make up Minutes Too Far - Bethany, Oklahoma's power pop rock quartet. Throughout their four-year career, Minutes Too Far has proven that setting an amiable mood is just as important as being bittersweet, literate and earnest. With influences ranging from pop punk to Elton John, Minutes Too Far aims to please with a smooth and seductive sound.
Reflective as they are, Danny Black (guitar, lead vocals), Blake Fischer (guitar, vocals), Steve-O (bass) and Kris Monier (drums) refrain from characteristic anthems and focus on their aesthetic live shows. Opening for national acts like Yellowcard, Fallout Boy and Motion City Soundtrack, Minutes Too Far is quickly ascending the ladder to the national limelight by wooing audiences and capturing the essence of rock and roll on the stage.
Already having gone on numerous national tours on their own dime, and independently released a self-titled EP, the guys are just getting started. Their latest release, ""Let It Roll,"" was released on Midwestern-Based Medic Records on June, 7 2005 to an anxious audience. The locals ate it up and now the band wants to take it across the country.
By blending their talents, Minutes Too Far packs a punch in the six-song EP. While displaying rock and roll's charm, the guys cover life's riches and letdowns, the surprises it heaves and the subtleties of love. The catchy guitar hooks, drum beats and bass lines only add to the ambience Black's vocals bring to the table. Delicate yet relentless, endearing yet abrasive, Minutes Too Far handles it all with deliberate intent.
Recorded at the famed Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, California (where Green Day recorded ""Dookie"") by producer/engineer Tone, the band was given the same attention as artists like Santana, Beautiful Mistake and Green Day, all of whom have worked with Tone.
Upon returning home with ""Let It Roll,"" Minutes Too Far, Medic Records and the fans all knew what was next on the band's list - more touring, more music and more fun. Minutes Too Far is planning to promote the album with numerous national tours and hopes to gain followings in the states less traveled. Above all, the guys want to see where all their hard work, blood, sweat and tears will take them - higher than high and further than the eye can see.
