Mandy Sloan is an independent folk/pop singer songwriter from Austin, TX. A true artist through and through, she strives to create music that is open, honest, and relatable. A little tired of being called, “cute,” the artist has decided to embrace critics' title and sing her cute colors out loud and proud on this latest album.
After completing her last concept album, Whispers and Dreams, Mandy dove into a vibrant, beachy, electronic experiment. From doo-wop songs, to distorted guitars, Blue Summer comprises of all the emotions, nostalgia, and bliss one feels in summertime.
The majority of the songs were created after multiple hours of Mandy tinkering around on software and protools. Her passion is to produce and play the majority of instruments on her album, and create out of her “indie budget.” Though the budget doesn’t allow for perfect sounding production, it adds character and quality to the tunes.
