Compared with Neil Young and John Lennon and known for having a green beard, Steve Andrews is an eclectic singer-songwriter originally from Cardiff in Wales but now based in Portugal. He has performed at the Green Man and Glastonbury festivals, as well as having been an MC at both events. Recently, Andrews has been working with Jayce Lewis, who has had a number one album in India and Japan. The two musicians are recording enough songs for an album, produced at Lewis's Northstone Studios.
Andrews is also known as the Bard of Ely, a title he was given by Big Issue Cymru, a publication he once was a columnist for. He is also an author, poet, journalist and naturalist, and has two books published by Moon Books, as well as having written for many varied publications.
