Described as “The White Stripes of Country,” Lynda Kay & Danny B. Harvey are taking the Roots/Americana movement by storm! Known for her sultry vocals, tenor guitar, and kickin’ Samsonite suitcase bassdrum, songwriter Lynda Kay delivers a raw punch of passion and honesty not found in most modern country artists. Lynda Kay’s voice has audaciously been compared to Elvis, Janis Joplin, Lucinda Williams, and Patsy Cline. She performs with rockabilly guitar legend Danny B. Harvey (Wanda Jackson, Nancy Sinatra, Rockcats) with his authentically vintage Chet Atkins meets early-Elvis slapback-sound. Their current CD “Singing, Stomping, & Strumming” is the first in a series called The Basement Tapes recorded live in the old Sun Studio style with all the vibe and none of the overdubs. The most common remark by folks who have purchased this CD is: Its hard to believe that all this music is only two people!

He Spelled My Name Wrong
Now what you're hearing is actually only two people recorded live in the studio. That's Danny B. Harvey of lead guitar, and Lynda Kay on vocals, rhythm guitar, and Samsonite suitcase kickdrum.
