MIND GONE BLIND formed originally as a five piece mainly covers band but over the past few years have trimmed down to a four piece concentrating mainly on their own music.
In 2003, the band released the six track ep 'Time And Money' to great critical acclaim. It is now virtually impossible to buy a copy of this cd as only a few copies still remain! Most of, if not all the songs can, however be downloaded for free from various music websites.
MGB followed up with their second ep 'World Of Lies' in 2005. This was also a six track ep and also received some great reviews in the music press. 'World Of Lies' was made availabe to buy on iTunes and various other sites including the band's own website.
After various line up changes over the years the band returned to the studio with the current line up and they recorded 'Be' for the 'Ghosts Of The North' compilation which was released in 2006 on Spook Records.
Mind Gone Blind recently released their third, self titled ep featuring four new tracks and a new version of 'Be'. This was preceded by the band's first ever single 'Fragile' which was available as a limited edition 3 track cd featuring new versions of 'Human Race' originally on 'Time And Money' and 'Alone' from 'World Of Lies'. It is now completely sold out!
Over the years the band have played hundreds of gigs across Scotland and supported Nazareth, The Bluetones, Hayseed Dixie, The Grim Northern Social, Dead Men Walking as well as many others and also trying to help younger bands get on the gig scene by giving them support slots.
Musically influenced by the likes of Metallica, Pearl Jam, Tool and Audioslave amongst others MIND GONE BLIND have developed a unique style of their own and continue to fly the flag for local rock music with their powerful and melodic offerings.
