Like a great recipe, all the ingredients must be of the utmost quality. Formed in August 2003 in Dunedin, Florida, Knowing Stu is able to mix their talents to form the unique flavor.
Knowing Stu's modern rock is a mixture of post-grunge feeling, commanding and melodic vocals and pure pop songwriting. Drawing from influences like the Cult and U2, and invoking the presence of No Doubt and Garbage, Knowing Stu has created a sound all to their own, without ignoring the basic elements of great songwriting.
Vocalist Tina Louise delivers undeniable emotion through melodic hooks and identifiable lyrics. Guitarist Dean Johanesen provides an equally melodic sound with harmonious hooks and top-notch technique. Clay Custer (Bass) and Shane Warth (Drums) combine forces to become an undeniably solid rhythm section, among the best in rock music today.
""Lost In Know-Where Land"", their latest 3-song EP - mixed and engineered by Jeff Tomei (Smashing Pumpkins, Matchbox 20) and recorded and produced by the band in the Spring of 2005 - the EP showcases the band's knack for writing strong, sing-along hooks and stadium-sized guitar riffs.
When all ingredients are blended together, Knowing Stu is the product of which you cannot get your fill.
