Fi3ld has been bringing raw vocal emcee styles to Outhabox and Rules of Culture since the late '90s. Frontman by day and beat programmer by night, Fi3ld's mission is twofold: to push the sounds of hip hop and drum n bass and to maximize the strengths of his crew.
Heavily influenced by the likes of Nas, Andre 3000, Steve Hyper D, and Baby Cham on the microphone, Fi3ld continues to forge countless projects with the enthusiasm that only he can. And he's not stopping with the delivery of this dnb/hip hop hybrid, but steady pushing forward with side projects with crewmate Jahli (Rev. Scooter Jackson), Dead P.A., Twin Brothers Darkness and more.
Fi3ld has made a name for himself along the Gulf Coast, developing a reputation with local and regional DJs as "the" MC to work with. His crew is embedded right in the thick of South Louisiana's most famed jungle clubs, The Dragon's Den and Club Culture, as well as various locations in Mississippi. His work on mixtapes with DJ Kaneda and StateSideSouth Volumes 1 & 2 – filled with nothing but grimy dub goodies from regional producers – have kept Fi3ld on the map. He released his first solo LP, "Basic Overstanding," in 2005, and EP "What's The Deal?" with legend DJ Wally Pish Posh in 2007.
In addition, Fi3ld has earned a reputation as a graphic designer in his own right, gaining respect for his work with Louisianadnb.com and more. Whether it's emceeing or designing, Fi3ld is at the forefront of stateside dnb and hip hop culture.
