Dana Marie always considered her music to be “Country”, but with the direction that genre has recently taken she finds herself amongst an elite few of quality singer songwriters. She has been compared to traditional artists such as Dolly Parton as well as modern chart toppers like Norah Jones. Having grown up in Northern Ohio, Dana moved to Nashville immediately after she graduated high school to fulfill her one dream… to be a star. In her two years in Music City Dana has shied away from becoming another Broadway Bar Girl, and instead put her focus in writing and making connections in the music business. One of these connections was legendary producer Jim Vest who told her “You sing as pretty as you look, and there’s no greater compliment than that.”
