Windows ’78 was formed in December of 2002 by cousins Mark Rogers (vocals/ bass) and Craig Rogers (guitar). After receiving an invitation to play at a Nettwerk Records showcase during NewMusicWest in early 2003, John Lucas (Hinterland) was recruited to play guitar for the show. Both Lucas and original drummer Dan DeGryp agreed to join Windows ’78 as full time members following the success of the first show. In May of 2004, the current Windows ’78 lineup was finalized with the addition of veteran drummer Michael Nathanson. The band began to record their debut CD with Caleb Stull (Parlour Steps) at Vogville Studios (the Killers, Scissor Sisters) in July of 2005.
Windows ’78 – ‘The Window Seat’ was released on April 11, 2006 by Submerged Records. The album is being distributed by Scratch Records across Canada and is available online worldwide through www.scratchrecords.com. Digital downloads are available through www.zunior.com.
