""Blind Friday"" Are a guitar-based band from Belfast. Formed 2003 by Lead guitarist ""Simon McBride"" and lead vocalist Robin Martin (The Horse). Later additions came along with Marty McCloskey on drums and finally Mark Adair on bass guitar.

P.R.S. guitars and Crate amps endorse Simon McBride.
Gretsch Drums endorse Marty McCloskey.

Their music can only be described as true rock, with memorable guitar licks, pounding drums, driving bass and truly passionate vocals, their songs can stir even the most rigid of souls.

The lyrical content is of a mixed nature, covering a wide range of topics from funny to controversial.

The highlight this year for 'Blind Friday' is that they have recently played the 'Oxegen Festival', in which they were represented by Steve Strange. They received a great response with interest from management and others.

The Band just recently won the 2005 Big Buzz battle of the bands and got the opportunity to play at the Big Buzz awards where they went down a storm.

Also they have just made it through to the 2005 GBOB all Ireland finals in the Millennium Forum.

Blind Friday have proven time and time again that they are able to deliver an explosive live show certain to get your heart jumping; a band with an enormous amount of energy and passion put into every performance.

With their first album in the final stages of completion this year promises to be a busy one for Blind Friday.

2005 was a really busy year for us. We played the Big Buzz awards, got through to the GBOB all Ireland finals and holy shit we played Oxegen! What an experience that was………. We met some of our biggest idols. We had dinner with the Killers, had drinks with Feeder, played football with Chris Cornell (Audioslave), and met the one and only Dave Grohl!!!!!!!!!!!! (Foo Fighters)

We also lost our good friend and bass player Warren (Dr Big Balls) who left on new years day to go to America for a life of Sun Sea and science (truly living the rock n roll lifestyle) But as one door closes another one opens and so it did for us. Mark Adair joined us in January 2006. A college boy from Bangor Co Down, he fitted right in.

Our plans for 2006 are just as big if not bigger. Our debut album is due for release in late March. It will be available to buy here from the shop.

We'll be following the album release later this year with a tour of Ireland and subsequently a tour of the UK.
