Back in 2000 Johan Bergqvist played in a pop band called Weld. They did pretty well during their short existence, playing at the first Rookie Festival in Hultsfred for instance, and put out some great demos. This band disbanded, however, for different reasons, and Bergqvist started a solo career instead.

The years passed and he sat behind the piano singing mellow tunes, reaching out to the hearts of the listeners. But within, the need to play some rockin' guitar songs was boiling... And so it came to be, in late 2005, that Bergqvist teamed up with drummer Johan Sundin one day. Both sharing a huge love for Popsicle, they started jamming some old Popsicle songs. It felt like magic. However, a bass player was needed. So without futher ado, Bergqvist called in old friend and musical partner Mårten Bengtsson. Everything, as they say, just clicked.

After merely three months, more than 10 songs had been written and rehearsed, and the live debut was held in January 2006. Throughout the year the band has played a bunch of gigs in the Stockholm region, as well as recorded their debut album.
