Raw, rare and full of flavour, Kiko enchants with a sound that is remembered in your body and registered in your soul. A fresh line-up including double bass, keys, guitar and programming supports Ani's sassy, clear and sweet vocals - the result is an edgy mix of cool jazz with deep and dirty electronica.
Ani Neradilkova is the bubbling life force fronting the band. As part of the live performance, Kiko is the collaboration of Ani's jazzy vocal style, organic programming of electronic samples, whilst still cranking out classical double bass, powerful horn lines of Ani's father, trumpeter Jiri, otherworldly guitar and keys of Adrian and block-rockin djembe.
Kiko continues to push the boundaries of genre-bending, expanding timelessly and boundlessly.
Kiko's influences include Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Massive Attack, Portishead, Tori Amos, Bjork, Jose Gonzalez, Tricky, and Radiohead.
Kiko has played in Sydney at the Vanguard, the Metro, Ruby Rabbit, East Village Hotel, Will and Toby's , The Opera Bar, The Vangard, Bar Me, BB's, the Surry Hills Festival, Peat's Ridge Festival and the Bondi Winter and summer Festivals.
