Hailing from the shores of Cedar Lake, Minneapolis native Jonathan Dessi-Olive did what a lot of others did in this chilly city: pick up a guitar and start writing songs. A classically trained pianist during his childhood, Jonathan spent his teens exposing himself to as much music as possible. He gained a great deal of performing experience in numerous rock bands as well as a few jazz duets and combos. For the past years Jonathan's main creative focus has been studio recording but he'll still take the stage as a solo artist. With just a guitar and his voice Jonathan takes the songs from the studio, strips them of all the production and layers of overdubs and delivers with all the energy he has to offer. Trying to make his crapy guitar sound good, he offers wide variety of sounds that combine his influences of classical to blues, free jazz to rock.
