Skewer began in October 2005 on Barreiro / Portugal, with Valério (Guitar, Vocal and Drums) and Telmo (Bass and Backvocal). The band sounds like Alternative Rock from Seattle on the 90´s, some music’s from the first work “I Need Something Stronger”, was record at February 2006 and released in 500 copies in author edition are from demos of an old project Waste (1994 /1999).

In the same year (2006) the search for new members begins to do the national tour for divulgation of “I Need Something Stronger” Ep and Skewer name, in June 2006 the formation it’s finally complete Valério Vocal and Guitar, João Galrito Bass and Miguel Drums.
End of 2006 Miguel leaves the band and JoãoG, becomes the drummer, Ernani Carlos is the new bass player.

Various national radios plays Skewer, such as: Sinfonias (Sinfonias de Aço), Catedral do Rock (Popular FM), Duro de Ouvido (Vagos FM), Culto do Império (Lousã FM), Circulo de Fogo (Viriato FM). Ep I Need Something Stronger as been played on radios outside Portugal: Chaos Box 99.3. (California), and Pop Free Radio (Kansas).
The press starts to give more attention to Skewer and the band add to their biography some interviews to national newspapers and zines such as: Rostos, Jornal do Barreiro, Correio da Manhã, Webbarreiro (Culto Barreirense), AGaragem, and some international zines: Speedzine (Brazil), Whiplash (Brazil) and others.

In May 2007 starts the record of the new Ep with the title “Whatever”. The formation for this work was Valério Guitar and Vocal, Ernani Carlos Bass and João Galrito Drums
As soon the record finished João Galrito leaves the band for dedicates to personal projects, Luis Miguel gets on his place on June 2007.

With lots of shows around Portugal, Skewer are now concentrated on the release of the new Ep “Whatever” and a video clip for the song “Stayed”.
The song will be support by Modirn Records (Huntington, USA) in a CD compilation Mordin Music Sampler Vol 4. The Starr Agency (Tampa, USA) in a CD compilation DEADLINE FOR THE KILL Vol. 4.

The new song “Stayed” as been played on radios outside Portugal: Ultra Dark Radio (Bonn, Germany) La Grosse Radio (Paris, France) Montréal X Radio (Eastern, Canada) Chaos Box 99.3.
