Recorded as a demo, to be rerecorded for Chicken On a Bicycle, but I thought that the intimacy of the demo sound suited the song well, so I kept this version for the album.
Chicken On a Bicycle now available at iTunes!!!

Inspired by the story of a friend - a reservist - who thought that the US invasion of Iraq was bullshit. And then he was called into active duty to participate in that invasion. He went, as a good soldier to do his duty. This is what I imagined the scene was like as he said goodbye to his wife and kids the morning that he was shipped off.
He did come home safely.

Say You Will (A Reluctant Soldier's Plea)
1.
In the dark, pre-dawn morning
We wait for the bus
As the sun slowly comes
Feelings overcome us
I'll be oceans away
But I'm always close by
(chorus)
2.
I'll be back in a year
If I survive the fight
I will do what I'm told
Because I'm told that it's right
But when "right" seems so wrong
Well, I know I ain't right
(chorus)x2
(bridge)
3.
Now I'm going off to fight
For the ones that I'll kill
If I come home with blood
On my hands that I've spilled
Please take them in your hands
Because I'll love you still...
(chorus)
Say you will
Say you will
