A folk/pop song that has mutated into something sinister.
Recorded and mixed by Andrew Horton
Todd: Guitars, bass, and vocals
Dave: Drums and keys

This one took about 2 years of on-and-off sessions to finally get done.
Todd started with an idea of a really strange vocal treatment that is too involved to get into here, that just didn't work out. Let's just say that it involved multiple vocalists and it was too tough.
So we started over again, from scratch, and I think that we nailed it.
Plus: NINE tracks of guitar harmonies!
Uploaded MASTERED file on 11/7/2014.

When we pushed
Out of winter
We went right through the summer
And straight into the fall
Then we fell
And kept on falling
The world was a blur
As we tried to grasp it all
But we couldn’t find the handle
And it all just sort of slipped away
We were flailing in the dark
And smashed whatever got in our way
The more that we touched
The more we smashed to dust
But we do what we must
AND WE’RE SPINNING
WE’RE SPINNING
WE’RE SPINNING BUT WE’RE STANDING STILL
We smashed
Through our changes
Until we came upon a time
When there was nothing left to change
And we broke
All our mirrors
But the same old faces
Stared right back our way
But we couldn’t find a quiet spot
To get another start
Every new beginning
Very quickly fell apart
And the more that we touched
The more we smashed to dust
But we do what we must
AND WE’RE SPINNING
WE’RE SPINNING
WE’RE SPINNING BUT WE’RE STANDING STILL
The more that we touched
The more we smashed to dust
But we do what we must
AND WE’RE SPINNING
WE’RE SPINNING
WE’RE SPINNING BUT WE’RE STANDING STILL
