The Lord spoke, I listened while sitting at Paddy's for a meeting with other members of the now defunct Cape Fear Songwriter's Guild. I suggested we write a song as I wanted to see what these folks were about lyrically, musically, and spiritually. I wrote the words in ten minutes, had the tune in fifteen and started to sing it on the spot. I was told you cannot write a song in the first person. I Want To Hold Your Hand popped up in my mind. Needless to say, I only went to that one meeting. The Lord spoke, I listened - Can You Hear Me Now? I wrote this song in 2009. It has taken sixteen years for it to reach its final form - thank you Lord! I hear you!
