I wrote this song after the Boxing Day Tsunami 2004. The more recent events in Japan brought all the memories back again. It's the title track of my first album. Here's a You Tube video of a recent live performance of the song.
Lyrics, composition, guitar - Chandra Moon
Production, guitars - Richard Bloom

When the terrible tsunami struck in 2004 my son was out in Thailand. Thankfully he was unharmed but the impact on my life and the shock led me to make many changes and to write this song which is the title track of my album - Full Circle.

Full Circle
I’ve turned full circle, back to me
Swept by the power of the tsunami
Picked up and carried to a different place
Three hundred and sixty degrees, face to face
First day of the rest of my life
First day of the rest of my life
It’s the first day
Of the rest of my life
I was always invisible, you looked straight through me
You thought us indivisible, you couldn’t see
Denial is a dangerous game, it leads to lies
You and I were not the same; it was compromise.
First day of the rest of my life,
First day of the rest of my life,
It’s the first day,
Of the rest of my life.
When I fell to ground, I was somewhere else,
As if I really didn’t know myself.
I looked around; it was a different land,
There was someone else where you used to stand.
Instrumental break
I’ve turned full circle, back to me
Swept by the power of the tsunami
Picked up and carried to a different place
Three hundred and sixty degrees, face to face
Yea, I’ve turned full circle, back to me
Swept by the power of the tsunami
Picked up and carried to a different place
Three hundred and sixty degrees, face to face, face to face……..
