A high energy song about Glasgow

I was trying to find the words for this tune for ages (it was originally called Kickback). One day I was out running and passed the sign which said 'Welcome to Strahaven' (where I live). OK... I thought.... write a song about a town.... hmm 'town' doesnt sound like a good lyric.. what about City, and then I thought about Glasgow. The second city of the empire... bingo. The song was complete. Its about a guy who is getting the squeeze put on him by some heavies except this time he's decided to stay put, and tough it out with them. Really wanted something pretty striaghtforward lyrically because I there is so much energy in the tune its not one to muse over.

Verse 1
I'm never going to run and hide its not my thing
I've got nowhere to go tonight its time to ring
The car to get me out of here has just arrived at my door
Verse 2
Everythign was easy not so long ago
and now I find I'm running scared, dont let it show
I wanna run and hide but now the time has come for my fusion
Chorus 1
I don't want to run
I want to stay in the second city
I dont want to hide
I want to stay in the second city
I dont wanna die
I want to live in the second city
Some say its second to none
Verse 3
I'm never gonna give it up
Its not my thing
I've spent my whole life running,
not for anything,
The time has come for me to start facing up to my demons
Verse 4
I'm so tired of running
I'm dont want to hide
Its all too much for me to take
